Distance from the 7-session average and the 7-session change, half each. Rising things tend to keep rising, briefly.
Mean reversion
Position in the 30-session range. Yesterday's spike is penalised, a lift from the floor is rewarded. This pulls against momentum on purpose.
Volume surge
Today's volume against its 20-session average, signed by the day's move. Unusual volume with a green close is the loudest signal in a thin market.
Consistency
Share of up sessions in the last 10, so a single lucky day does not carry a stock into the ball.
